The Prince William County Democratic Committee is set for a busy weekend as members prepare for a special election April 9 that will determine who serves the remainder of Supervisor John Jenkins’ term as the board’s Neabsco District representative. Jenkins, a Democrat who was the longest-serving supervisor, died Feb. 6. The term expires Dec. 31, 2019.
The Prince William Democratic Committee is holding a firehouse caucus Feb. 24 to determine who will be the party’s candidate in the special election. The committee is hosting the caucus from 3-7 p.m. at the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department Station 13, 13511 Hillendale Drive, said Tonya James, committee chair.
Democratic voters who would like to participate should bring a photo ID to verify they live in the Neabsco District, James said.
